ACCESSABILITY
Please make sure your driveway is clear so that we can get to the trash. If your driveway is blocked, we will not be able to get your trash. If your driveway is going to be blocked and it is planned (construction, yard work etc), your cans are allowed to be moved behind the last car in the driveway (on a temporary basis), so that you are not missed on your normal pick up day.

STATE LAWS
We are not allowed, by law, to accept the following items for deposit in the landfill:
- Motor oil, tires and batteries should be taken to a tire and battery dealer, service station or oil change center.
- Major appliances such as compactors, refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, air conditioners etc. You can call companies such as We Haul STL (314.853.0485) or Ron's Haul Away (314-703-8602) for removal of these items. Extra fees may be charged by the chosen company. **These names have been given to us by other customers who have used them. We have not had any work personally done for us.
- Heavy Scrap metal of any kind.
- Currently the City of Ladue removes all brush and leaves that are placed on the curb. They use this material to make into quality mulch! However, they will not remove grass clippings, other greenery or sweet gum balls. You may want to contact Ladue City Hall for more information.
- POOL CHEMICALS: Every year we are injured, burned or overcome by fumes from hazardous pool chemicals. These containers are generally hidden in the trashcans and we are not aware they are there until it is too late! We will gladly remove these containers, but PLEASE leave them outside the trashcans in plain view and rinsed. Some of the chemicals can even cause fires in your homes! PLEASE READ THE LABELS! They do not mix with household trash.
- CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS: Please do not fill cans with concrete, bricks, mud etc, these items are considered construction debris and do not belong in trashcans.
- CONTRACTORS: Many people sign a contract for remodeling work which generally states that the contractor is responsible for removal of the debris from construction. Some of these contractors will simply fill the trashcans with lumber, plaster, drywall etc instead of hauling it away themselves. We can not take construction debris to the landfill. There is a contractors landfill that they are to use. Please make sure the contractor is disposing of his debris properly.
- PAINT: We are able to take paint, however it must be dried completely first. In order to get it to dry faster, you can purchase cheap clumping cat litter (must be clumping) and pour it in the can. Mix it up and leave the lid off to allow it to dry. Please leave lids off paint cans and set next to trash. Do not put in bags or in the can. We are not responsible for any clean up of any wet paint left for trash that spills.
- ACCESS TO CANS: Please remember if we can not get to your trash cans, we can not remove it. This problem occurs frequently for those customers who keep their trash in the garage or who have long term remodeling projects that have the potential for blocking the driveway. If for any reason, you do not think we will be able to get to your trash on any given day for whatever reason (driveway sealed, cars, workmen) you are able to put the trash by the street so we can get it or behind the LAST vehicle parked in the driveway.
CANS: Please remember, if you can't lift the can, chances are we won't be able to either. At the other end of the spectrum, weightless items such as styrofoam packing should be tightly bagged or returned to the box and sealed shut, in order to prevent this material from decorating the subdivision streets. - PETS: Most dogs do not present a problem, however, if your dog becomes upset when the trash-man arrives or he/she enjoys chasing the truck, it would be in the best interest of their safety to keep them inside or securely tied/chained up.
- VACATIONS: We understand people go out of town for vacations or family events. Please let the office know if you plan on being gone one month or longer and we will adjust your bill accordingly.
- Please note we are not responsible for items of value left on or near the trash cans.
